License Free Saltwater Fishing Days
Summer is here, the fish are biting, and you are anticipating long days with your pole in the water as you contemplate life’s mysteries. Non-resident licenses are a bit steep, especially when added to the cost of everything else on vacation, and you may be thinking maybe this year you are going to have to pass. Fortunately for you, The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission offers four free saltwater fishing days every year, and this year’s first two days are being held the weekend of June 11 and June 12th. What a great time to schedule your vacation, don’t you think? Normally you would have to pay $17.00 for a three-day license, $30.00 for a seven-day license, and $47.00 for an annual license, so we think offering two days of license-free saltwater fishing in the fishing capital of the world is an amazing idea!
PCBLP and National Fishing and Boating Week
We live here year round and yet we still manage to get giddy when free fishing days are getting closer. To us, there is no finer way to spend a lazy Saturday than sitting in a boat, on a dock, or at shore’s edge sinking a line and waiting for that night’s dinner to take the bait! Book your Panama City Beach Luxury Properties vacation today and spend that weekend in June participating in one of America’s favorite past times; we promise a good time for all! But if you miss out on the first weekend, the first Saturday in September and the Saturday following Thanksgiving are two more free saltwater fishing days, and there’s always next year as well! Crabbing, lobstering, and scalloping are free on these days as well!
Grand Slam World Series of Baseball
Summer is all about baseball for kids of all ages, and the Grand Slam World Series of Baseball is the epitome of what championship kids’ baseball is all about! For 12 years now, Panama City Beach and Frank Brown Park have hosted this fun series, starting out as a small 3-day event with just a few teams participating; today, it consists of over 600 teams from over 20 states and takes place in four phases in an event that creates lifelong memories.
Opening Ceremony Parades
The streets of Pier Park close at the start of each session’s opening ceremonies for a parade featuring all the participants. The players display their team banners as they march and dance the streets of Pier Park. They toss beads and candy to the crowds, perform small dance routines and take pleasure in being the center of attention.
Each team designs a pin with the name of their team and a special emblem, and one day of the Grand Slam World Series of Baseball is set aside for pin trading. Spending the day at a bowling alley and arcade, the pins are carried around on towels and the boys’ trade with other teams to complete their collections and perhaps make a new friend or two.
At the end of each session, the awards ceremony is something special. Only the best will win, and the ceremony acknowledges the drive and dedication the boys have shown to get this far. The trophies are large and impressive – each standing over 7 feet tall – but this series is about more than winning and losing. It’s about teamwork, fun, friendships made, and memories that will last a lifetime!

Classic Car Cruise-In
Sometimes we find ourselves wishing we lived in simpler times: times when cars were works of art, the music had a simpler beat, and the pin up girls we had plastered on our walls still managed to be sexy without exposing everything. Well, on July 2, we can all experience those simpler, more innocent times again at the Classic Car Cruise-In in Panama City Beach – if you plan your vacation during that time, of course!
Sleek race cars, classic muscle cars, and antique cars from days gone by will all be there, buffed, shined, and looking their best for your perusal! If the boat engine sound of a classic Challenger gets your own motor running, the Classic Car Cruise-In will keep you going at high speed for the afternoon! Colorful, shiny, and loud, we love the cars that go VROOM!
Featuring long legs, colorful and seductive clothing, and smiles that you know are meant for you only, pin-up girls in the past were merely fantasy images printed on paper for you to “pin-up” on your walls. At the Classic Car Cruise-In, the pin-up girls will be flesh and blood models that smell as sweet as they look!
You’re not going to want to miss this real life blast from the past; this show is the perfect addition to your Panama City Beach vacation activity list! Happening July 2, 2016 from 11:00 AM-3:00 PM at 14700 PCB Parkway in Panama City Beach, Florida, don’t forget your checkbook; there will be plenty of Harley Davidson wares to shop for!

Sand & Sass Ladies Motorcycle Rally
Lady bikers, listen up! If you’re visiting Panama City Beach in August, we have an event for you! The biking world tends to primarily be a male oriented one where females are relegated to the back of bikes swooning over our big bad biker bad boys. Fun times, sure, but women are just as capable of riding their OWN bikes and we want some attention too! Fortunately for us, Harley Davidson knows our plight and for one magical weekend in August, The Sand & Sass Ladies Motorcycle Rally is all about us!

You don’t have to do everything, just pick out the activities that interest you the most!

Malloween in Panama City Beach
Halloween is one of a child’s most favorite of holidays, and how can you blame them? You get to dress up in scary costumes (or dress like a princess), walk the streets after dark, AND beg for candy from complete strangers? We may be grown, but even we see the charm in trick or treating, and we love the chance to get to steal the best chocolates from our children’s trick or treating bags long after they have fallen asleep!
Unfortunately, in today’s world, it can get a little scary, and as much as we hate to admit it, even in our family friendly town, bad things can happen. Kids can get lost—when dressed in dark costumes it is difficult to see them. We don’t have to tell you; it can be dangerous to be a kid on Halloween. And so the concept of Malloween was born! Why not create a safe environment for all those darling trick or treaters and continue the long held tradition of parents stealing the candy by offering tricks and treats in our Pier Park stores?
Safe and fun
From the start, Malloween has been a huge success with kids, parents, and store owners. They are all in agreement that this is the best idea since, well, since trick or treating first became a thing! Earlier years’ events have all been held between 6:00 PM and 7:30 PM on Halloween night, ensuring that you and your darlings will all be home early enough for everyone to be able to sample the candies without having to miss important bedtimes, and so far, it’s looking like the same thing will happen again this year! Keep checking back with us at PCBLP.com for more information and details the closer it gets to Halloween, and in the meantime, why not take the time now and book your PCBLP luxury vacation home so you can be sure not to miss the 2016 Malloween fun?
One of the most notable, most popular and most intense North American races, the Ironman, first started in 1999 and has been seen as the epitome of physical endurance tests as far as races are concerned. The Panama City Beach Ironman race takes place every year just as the summer season begins to wind down and as the hordes of tourists leave the area.
Even though it’s a strenuous triathlon, the experience is almost like a vacation destination itself as the event starts with a swim that takes place in the Gulf of Mexico where all participants begin with a short beach run between laps. The water is usually around 70 degrees which means that triathletes are able to wear wetsuits.
The bicycle course loops through some of Panama City’s most beautiful rolling hills and the running course winds through St. Andrew’s State Park which also offers mild temperatures at this time of year.
The Ironman triathlon attracts some of the country’s very best athletes who travel to Panama City to participate. Only a select number of those who register in hopes of participating will be able to actually do so, but if you’re in Panama City during the races, be sure to look into cheering these amazing athletes on!
